Services available include...

Receptionist

The Center provides a shared receptionist who meets and directs visitors, receives tenant shipments, troubleshoots phone and computer related issues, reserves meeting space, and delivers incoming and outgoing mail. 


Copy Center

NRVCC provides a photocopier; color printer, and fax office equipment for Center clients.  Tenants receive a monthly invoice based on the copies made per month.


Conference/Training Rooms

Controlled rooms may be reserved on “first-come, first-served” basis by submitting a room reservation form to
Center Staff.


Telecommunications

A T-1 line connection providing Internet and email services.


Telephone Service

NRVCC provides digital phone sets, voice mail, and conference calling.  NTelos provides the tenant’s telephone service package.


Housekeeping

Occasionally, tenants will need housekeeping service beyond that called in the lease.  Center management can provide arrangements for contracted housekeeping services.


Mail Delivery/Pick up

In-house mailboxes are provided for each tenant. Mail will be delivered to your mailbox Monday – Friday.  Outgoing mail should be in the Outgoing Mailbox by 10:00 a.m. each day to ensure pickup. Mail that is too large in size may be placed in the U.S. Outgoing Mail Box located in the NRVPDC office.


Shipping and Receiving Facilities

Receiving Semis/Tractor Trailer, USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL Deliveries. Packages greater in size or weight (on pallets, etc.) will continue to be received in the receiving docking area and be delivered/distributed to their final destination by tenant personnel.


Vending

Vending machines with light snacks and various beverages are located throughout the building.    The NRVCC has no control over the selection of products; private vending contractors manage the vending machines.


Billing

Billing for tenant services occurs around the middle of each month and payment is due on the first day of each month.  Late fees will be assessed at a 5% interest charge.

The New River Valley Competitiveness Center (NRVCC) Programs

Incubator Tenant Program (ITP) provides a 54,000 square foot facility to grow or expand business. Incubator clients have the opportunity to take advantage of on-site consulting in sales, marketing, bookkeeping, leadership, business needs assessment, business plan development, and financial planning services.   As part of the program, clients have access to senior management and other professional staff members.  The team provides on-going consulting services to clients at various stages of their lifecycle.


Small Business Technical Assistance Program (SBTAP)

Business Technical Assistance Program (BTAP) provides assistance to increase the understanding and growth of small business. The program disseminates business information, printed materials and referrals to targeted audiences and aids in building resources and networks for small business within the New River Valley.  
The Business Technical Assistance Program services include: counseling on business and proposal development, market research, outreach and educational small business programs, financial planning, and access to business workshops.


International Business Development Counseling Program  (IBDCP)

The International Business Development Counseling Program (IBDCP) offers consultation, international market planning and business partnerships. The program prepares companies for the accomplishing useful business results in key marketplaces around the world.


Mentoring and Advising Program (MAP)

The NRV Small Business Development Center (SBDC), provides professional business counseling, training and information resources to help grow and strengthen local businesses.
 


SCORE

Formed in 1964, SCORE is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the formation, growth and success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE" Counselors to America's Small Business” provides a public service to America by offering confidential small business advice and training for entrepreneurs. SCORE is America's premier source of free and small business advice.

 
Student Consulting Group Program

Tenants are offered the opportunity to meet with student advising groups, who have extensive business training or specific industry insight.  This small group meets with the tenants on a regular basis regarding issues and making recommendations for moving the tenants business forward.
